The FSC-COC 3.0 standard came into effect on April 1, 2017-FSC certification

On January 1, 2017, the FSC Board of Directors approved the revision of the Chain of Custody (CoC) standards FSC-STD-40-004 V3.0 and FSC-STD-20-211 V4.0. This version of the standard came into effect on April 1, 2017, and the transition period for the new standard is March 31, 2018.

The FSC China Office has sent the Chinese version of the standard to various certification agencies, and held two webinars for discussion and learning. At the same time, the auditors of FSC certification agencies will complete the new standard transfer test before July 1.

FSC-STD-40-004 V3.0 production and sales chain of custody certification standard (applicable to organizations that process and trade FSC certified products)

FSC-STD-20-211 V4.0 Production and Sales Chain of Custody Evaluation Standard (applicable to certification bodies that evaluate organizations based on FSC-STD-40-004)

The main purpose of the standard revision is to simplify the chain of custody certification. The new standard further clarifies some controversial concepts, and at the same time incorporates guidance documents and standard interpretations into the standard
