What are the models of CE marking available for manufacturers to choose

At present, there are eight modes of using the CE mark recognized by the European Union as follows:

1. Factory self-control and factory inspection

Module A (internal production control)

1. It is used for simple, large-volume, non-hazardous products, and is only suitable for manufacturers that apply European standards.

2. The factory conducts self-qualification review and self-declaration.

3. The technical documents are submitted to the national agency for ten years. On this basis, review and inspection can be used to determine whether the product complies with the directive. The manufacturer even needs to provide the product design, production and assembly process for inspection.

4. There is no need to declare that its production process can always ensure that the product meets the requirements.

Module Ab

1. The manufacturer does not produce according to European standards.

2. The testing agency conducts random tests on the special parts of the product.

2. Review by the testing agency

Module B (EC type review)

The factory sends samples and technical documents to the testing agency it chooses for review, and the testing agency issues a certificate.

Note: B alone is not enough to constitute the use of CE.

Module C (consistent with the type [sample]) + B

The factory makes a declaration of conformity (consistent with the model passed the factory inspection), and the declaration is kept for ten years.

Module D (quality control of production process) + B:

This model focuses on the production process and final product control. The factory produces according to the method approved by the testing organization (quality system, EN29003), and on this basis declares that its products are consistent with the inspection type (declaration of conformity).

Module E (Product Quality Control)+B

This mode only focuses on the final product control (EN29003), and the rest is the same as Module D.

Module F (product test)+B

After the factory guarantees that its production process can ensure that the product meets the requirements, it will make a declaration of conformity. The accredited testing organization verifies the conformity of its products through full inspection or sampling inspection. The testing agency issues a certificate.

Module G (test one by one)

The factory declares that it meets the requirements of the directive and submits the product technical parameters to the testing organization. The BSCI factory inspection and testing organization will issue a certificate after inspecting the products one by one.

ModuleH (Integrated Quality Control)

This model focuses on design, production process and final product control (EN29001). The rest is the same as Module D+ Module E. Among them, mode F+B and mode G are suitable for products with a particularly high degree of danger.
