"Responsible global garment manufacturing"

WORLDWIDE REPONSIBLE APPAREL PRODUCTION,

1WRAP

2 What is WRAP

WRAP is a combination of four English abbreviations. The original text is WORLDWIDEREPONSIBLEAPPARELPRODUCTION, and the Chinese translation means "Responsible Global Garment Manufacturing".

Manufacturers in the U.S. apparel industry are facing increasing pressure. There are pressures from retailers, government-related ministries, consumers, stock investors, media, and other non-governmental organizations. Those engaged in garment production should be responsible, explain their labor standards, and the conditions of the factories. This pressure to pay attention to the labor production environment extends to the toy industry and even the sports goods industry. Therefore, several manufacturing industries have become parties in the United States. People request the development of standards, and actively supervise and inspect the goals.

As it was discovered that the standards adopted by individual manufacturers may be inconsistent, and unnecessary duplication of supervision and inspection may occur, several outstanding and well-known clothing manufacturers in the United States jointly requested the American Apparel and Footwear Association (AMERICAN APPAREL & FOOTWEAR ASSOCIATION) AAFA), came forward to coordinate and deal with these industrial issues in the industry. The American Apparel and Footwear Association was established on August 14, 2000 by the American Apparel Association (AMERICAN APPAREL).

MANUFACTURERS ASSOCIATION (referred to as AAMA) and the American Footwear Association (FOOTWEAR INDUSTRY OF AMERICA (referred to as FIA) were merged after several months of negotiation and negotiation. At present, the members of the American Apparel and Footwear Association (AAFA) include many famous brand manufacturers, such as SARA LEE COPRATION, JOCKEY INTERNATIONAL, VF CORPORATION, RUSSELL CORPORATION, PHILLIPS-VAN

HEUSEN, etc., the garments produced by member factories of the American Garment and Footwear Association account for more than 80% of the wholesale sales of American garments.

3 Principles of Social Responsibility for Global Apparel Production

The principle of social responsibility for global apparel production is the core standard for production facilities participating in the WRAP certification project. The purpose of this project is to independently monitor and prove that the manufacturing industry meets these global social responsibility standards, and to ensure that products are produced under legal, humane and ethical conditions.

WRAP certification program firmly believes that factory-based certification is a more effective way to ensure that the workplace complies with WRAP production principles. The BSCI factory audit WRAP project puts the primary responsibility for improving workplace conditions on the owners who own and operate sewing product manufacturing facilities. WRAP certification can bring you advantages in the international market. In the United States, the retail and brand recognition of the WRAP project has steadily increased in the past few years. The recognition of the WRAP certificate by multiple brands and retailers avoids repetitive monitoring activities. Intertek has been selected by many of the world's top retailers that support the WRAP project as an independent global monitor.
